The theme? "A Very American Weekend"
1. Apple Pie (that I made from scratch. I am totally loving my new marble rolling pin and my new marble pastry board, thanks Rebecca and Mom&Dad for those gifts!)
2. Cherry Blossoms at the Nation's Capital. There aren't all the pictures (I took a lot) but these are my favorites.
3. We saw the Stephen Colbert portrait in the Smithsonian. It was removed at the end of March so if you haven't seen it, you missed it. It was a digital print on canvas, it wasn't a real painting which I admit was a little disappointing.
4. One of my favorite pieces in the Portrait Gallery Smithsonian Museum was this one. Can you read it? I'll giveyou a hint, it starts out "we the people".

omg what a great pie!!!!! I have to get pie-ing again soon - for one thing I owe John another catsitting pie, but also it's just been too long and I am itching to pie again! hope you're feeling all better!!!!
I still love the seagull pic - I think I forgot to mention that before - it's just as well you're not posting; I've been very blog-neglectful of late :) (except for a certain joint blog... tee hee... altho I haven't done great on there either :P doh!
